CHURCH PLANNER
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Church Planner is provided for Living Word Church and developed/operated by JCMFT. This policy explains how Church Planner handles personal information in the web and mobile applications.
Information we handle
Depending on your role and how the church uses the service, Church Planner may process your name, email address, phone/profile information, profile photo, team membership and leadership roles, serving assignments, availability, invitation responses, service feedback, Messenger messages, voice notes and attachments, Idea Hub submissions and attachments, uploaded church files, notification preferences, device/push tokens, session/security records, and administrative audit records.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate members, plan church services and events, coordinate teams and volunteers, provide Messenger and Idea Hub features, send requested operational notifications, protect accounts, troubleshoot the service, and maintain appropriate administrative/audit records. Microphone access is requested only when a member explicitly starts recording a Messenger voice note, and camera access is requested only when a member chooses to take a photo for a Messenger attachment. Church Planner does not record microphone audio or use the camera in the background.
Sharing and processors
Church Planner does not sell personal information and does not use it for advertising. Information such as profiles, serving assignments, schedules, team membership, messages, and church content may be visible to authorized church members, leaders, planners, or administrators according to their role, team membership, conversation membership, and permissions. Service providers may process limited information on our behalf. These include hosting/infrastructure providers and, for push notifications, Expo and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android or Apple Push Notification Service on iOS. Push previews can include a conversation name, sender name, and message excerpt when previews are enabled.
Security
Production traffic uses HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way password hashes, authenticated sessions are revocable, protected files require authorization, and profile-photo metadata is removed during processing. Access is role- and team-scoped.
Retention and deletion
We retain active account data while it is needed for church planning and operation. When a verified account-deletion request is completed, identifying account data and personal content that is not required to be retained is deleted or de-identified. Limited de-identified scheduling, security, audit, backup, or legal records may be retained where reasonably necessary. Backup copies may remain until normal backup rotation completes.
Your choices and rights
You can control supported notification preferences and your personal language in the app. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information through our Data Request page. Account deletion can also be initiated from within the mobile app and from the Account Deletion page.
Children
Church Planner is an internal church coordination tool and is not designed as a child-directed consumer service. Churches remain responsible for appropriate account administration for minors and applicable consent requirements.
Privacy contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the public Privacy & Data Request form. This mechanism is monitored through Church Planner administration and allows the church to verify identity before releasing or deleting personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy when Church Planner features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available at this URL.
